Measuring 20.5" wide x 18.5" high Signed on lower left corner Bio: After graduating from Western High School in Baltimore, MD in 1938, she attended the Maryland Institute of Art where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree. Mrs. Roberts worked for Hoschild Kohn Department Store as a commercial artist. She later worked as a commercial artist in New York City. In 1947 she married John Joseph Roberts of Rochester, NY and moved to London, England. They later lived in Paris, Milan and Rome. In 1960 she retired to the U.S. in Princeton, NJ. They moved to New Canaan, CT before settling in Easton, MD. Mrs. Roberts was internationally known artist of animals painted on broken pieces of marble. Her pieces of art were owned by Nelson Rockefeller, the Duchess of Windsor and first lady Nancy Reagan. In 1976 she was elected to the Hall of Fame of the Society of Illustrators. Mrs. Roberts work has been shown in New York, Dallas and Houston, TX, and London, England. Locally she was a constant exhibitor at the Lu-Ev Gallery in Easton, MD. All of her art work was signed “Nan Lee”.

  8. Click Continue to add photos and publish your sale. You will receive a confirmation email from Craigslist to verify the sale. Activate your sale by clicking the link in your email and your done!
  9. Craigslist allows you to re-post your ad every 48 hours. Re-post any sooner and your ad may be subject to removal.
