An authentic antique (165 years old)!!! Historical picture of what young women were encouraged to do in the mid 1800's and how very grateful they were to learn. Very good antique condition...especially considering the age of this relic!!! You can clearly see that the nails used on the back side of the frame are all home-made! Amazing. Such humble, resourceful folks! Family name is Matthews. Girl completed her needlepoint at age 13. Celebrate history and acquire this relic for your collection! Frame measures: 14 3/8" wide x 14 3/16" tall . Please note: Some nails are missing which makes the back side not completely secure, but I personally didn't want to correct it with a modern nail from China!
