Incredible piece of art by Kenneth Callahan (American, 1905 - 1986). From the private collection of a dear friend of the artist's, this outstanding example of his sumi ink and wash artwork is approximately 157.5 inches long (13.13 ft) in totality! The scale of this piece is truly remarkable and unique- no other pieces at this size exist by Callahan! The images show the figures in sequence as the paper was unrolled. It was stored in good conditions with the paper rolled as shown. This huge piece of art includes figures of nude men in different poses, a nude woman, cats, a dog, birds, insects, a bull, and a horse. Signed and dated to 1969. Condition is good, with some small holes (shown in images).
