Vintage Ladies Long Black Fur Coat, Possibly Rabbit Fur

Very hard to photograph. I am not certain this is real fur, I am no expert in furs. It looks and feels like rabbit fur to me, but is all black, short maybe about 1/2" long and very soft. Very pretty dark black coat. Button and loop closure at neck with 2 large loop and buttons. The loops have been repaired. Padded shoulders. There is a small spot on one wrist where the fur is shorter, not really matted down, but maybe like shorter hairs on the end of a pelt maybe? The sleeve linings have an extra lining inside, have no idea why, again, I am not an expert. No labels. Don't know maker or size. Measures about 16 - 17" at shoulders and about 43" long. There is a pic where there is a safely pin, this spot needs mending, easy fix. I don't see any other issues at all. It is so pretty and soft and warm and heavy in person.
