This has to be one of the most interesting lots we have had in any of our on-line sales - Original correspondence from the Circulation Director of the Augusta (GA) Chronicle, dated 15 Sep. 1954, asking the Circulation Director of the Times Picayune to ask the Food Editor to get Antoine's to give her their recipe for Chicken Rochambeau, with BOTH sauces(!) for his wife, because she want to make it at HOME - hahahah. Apparently, Mr. Alciatore at Antoine's was a friend of the TP Circulation Manager, because he gave in to this request even though "we do not make it a practice of giving our our recipes." He included their "secret" recipe on Antoine's stationary and included it. A note is included indicating that this recipe does not appear in the Times PIcayune Creole Cook book. I don't know it this recipe has ever been printed.....but here it is. At least you'll know how they made it in 1956. You get all of the original correspondence and the recipe. SHHHHH!
