Peter S. Loonam, originally from Freeport, N.Y., had a life full of international travel as an art director and producer for a major advertising agency. He followed his passion for painting and upon retirement opened the Peter S. Loonam Art Gallery in Bridgehampton, N.Y. in 1977. Years later he moved to the Eastern Shore of Maryland where he concentrated on his painting and renovated a carriage house into a studio. He exhibited his work from Canada to Georgia and was awarded many ribbons and prizes along the way for his exquisite watercolors. His keen eye and appreciation for the beauty of the shore grew from a childhood love of the Great South Bay Marshes and the Barrier Island Sand Dunes. Peter passed away in 2014. Measures: 22" wide x 13" high
