#107 "Mexican Farm" Norma Bassett Hall (1887-1957) 1930-50 Color Screen Print on Paper 9 X 6 ¾ Inches Signed by the artist in graphite This is an original serigraph by the only female founding member of the Prairie Printmakers, Norma Bassett Hall. This artist, the first of the bunch to work with color, has rendered the “Mexican Farm†with brightly lit, colorful spring colors posing a single farmhand behind a steer-pulled plow tilling the earth in the shadow of a blue mountain range. A large cottonwood tree presides over the the house and outbuildings completing the scene. This item has a $525 reserve. Please realize that all computer monitors display colors differently. These prints are all under glass/plexi and were photographed doing our best to deal with the glare by positioning them at various angles. The prints and mats themselves do not have white glare spots. They are all in excellent condition.
