soldhand crafted and painted little house on platform that is a puzzle box. a panel slides out from the side to open the drawer. there is a slot on the roof to insert coins. reads above the door painted : National Savings Bank. Measures : height of 6" and the base measures : 4" by 5 1/2" made of pine, The two boxes are of the original finish.( fair condiiton) the construction is sturdy. The tops slide open and one of the boxes has a groove to open. These could be candle boxes The smaller box could have pen a pencil box. Has an insert that comes out with compartments to hold pencils and other. Measures: *" by 4 1/2" by 2" pin nail constuction. the finish has much wear originally painted. The larger box is of natural wood that has a patina Dovetail sides. It has a groove to slide open the box. Measures: 9 1/2" by 6" by 3" for the age it is in good condition There are nicks and scratches but a nice primitive box
