hand grain painted blanket chest. pine wood. a red tone paint was used to decorate all sides of this chest. interior is natural. clean but old. Piece is from 1840-1860 American. no handles were put on the chest. The lock is intact but no key. The top is in fair condition. you can clean this up with a bit of light sanding the footings are in good condition and a " bun" shape. Measures: height: 25" Length: 43" Width 21" with the lid
