Tibet sculpture I believe is from the early to mid 18th century 1720-1760's. Made of bronze that at one time may have had a finish of pure gold. It is after the god , patron saint of Tibet, Avalokiteshvara which is the god of compassion. there is definite age to the bronze and much of the gold has been rubbed off but still evidence at a time painted with gold. the statue itself is sold bronze. The base has been filled with a stone mixture for weight. There is a tear in the metal at the base where some of the stone weight has fallen out but still enough to support. This piece is engraved signed on the back with lettering. Title and the makers stamp. She stands hands folded with a crown of four faces / on three sides. Six arms that hands hold a symbol. it appears in good condition for the age. Height: :16" The base is 6" by 4" Width at the widest part " 1 1/2" If you need additional photos please email me at vintageharvest@gmail.com
