#132 Lidded Ceramic Pot Dan Gauthier Salt fired and glazed studio ceramic Late 20th C. 10 x 9 inches This is a fine, salt fired studio pot by Dan Gauthier. This master potter has created a lidded pot reminiscent of those thrown by 12th C Korean potters who created this squat-bulbous shape for storage. Dan Gauthier graduated from Wichita State University in the late 70's and subsequently taught ceramic art there.The unique surface/glazing treatment has created a varied and, as always, an unpredictable, but exciting surface.
