Theodore Alexander Palazzo chest. A Venetian silvered and gilt verre églomisé paneled chest features two deep drawers with brass drop handles. Tapered square legs and the lustrous gold leaf style finish.

This chest is part of the Theodore Alexander églomisé collection. The technique of applying gold or metal leaf to the underside of glass was revived and named after the French decorator Jean-Baptiste Glomy. The eponymous process of ‘verre églomisé’, literally ‘eglomised glass’ is continued by craftsmen at Theodore Alexander with the finest patinated metal colors such as gold, silver, brass and copper to achieve what can only be described as a stunning effect on what is already beautifully designed furniture.
