Made by the Karpen factory company of Karpen Furniture of Chicago of the early 1900's/ labels on the base. the cushions are springs. Both chairs are comfortable. The owners have reupholstered them in a quality southwest fabric that is of quality and the upholstery on the backs extends down the back. It is in very good condition. I did not see any serious breakage in the wicker. It appears in good condition with slight wear on the arms but not bad. Typical with age. Height in the back : 37" Length arm to arm: 30" and the Depth of just the chair: 19" this pair has a vintage look and feel to them. Excellent for the rustic home or cabin
