early round pantry box with lid. bail style with wooden handle. The interior of the box is old but clean. Outside has stains The bent wood is held together with nails. the nails are a hand forged as are the hinges. Length: 12" height: 7" The box has a bentwood wrap around the sides. The box is intact with no loose wood. Sturdy. . The top has water marks around the edge. The wood, I cant identify but has a grain like oak A very pretty piece nice patina. The yarn art maybe later. 1940's-50's but in an early1900's frame. The yarn art is very well done. Colorful and detailed. It has been worked on a muslin style fabric. Very clean with no stains. Personally I dont like the frame but easy to switch out. Measures: 12" by 17"
