This is a wonderful example of the sea shell art of the late Jeffersonville artist David Eric Wolff. The upper portion of the see-thru box is not attached to the bottom and does not have glass. The box and base are made of metal. The starting bid is $20.00. DAVID ERIC WOLFF was born April 10, 1939 in Plymouth, Indiana to Eric Walter and Ruth Lucille (Poor) Wolff. He was known as a man who “loved to create beautiful things†In 1969 David earned a BA in Fine Arts from Indiana University Bloomington and was a member of the Singing Hoosiers while in attendance. After graduation he continued his studies in Asian Art at Harvard University. He was the founder and proprietor of Mainly Cards (an early upscale and trendy greeting card shop) at the former Galleria in downtown Louisville. His last 15 years were spent at his studio in the Mellwood Arts Center and Kore Gallery in Louisville where he lived out his passion for painting and sea shell art. He died on October 29, 2018 at his home in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
