1940s Vintage 8-39 Toast-O-Lator Model J, toaster "walks" the bread through as it browns! This vintage stainless steel and black Bakelite toaster is a great addition to your Mid-Century kitchen. The bread is put into one side, the darkness/lightness is set, and then it's switched on. The toast runs on conveyor belt-type metal fingers, and as the bread browns, it's moved across and out of the other side of the Toast-O-Lator. Underneath it's stamped Toast-o-later Co., Long Island City NY. .This is shiny bright Chrome with no cracks or chips in the black Bakelite, but there are two small areas on either side where there is finish damage, Unit is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician prior to use.
