Each estate sale is unique. Estate in Time strives to be different by customizing each sale to your specific needs.
Selling an estate can be a difficult and emotional task for the family, home owner or the trustee. To help get you started, we offer a Free of Charge, No Obligation, Walk through Consultation to assess your personal situation. After determining your individual needs and requirements, we will recommend options on how to move forward.
Our team of professionals will study and research your items and reach out to our network of professionals who are often brought in to help prior to the sale. Value is added to an estate when time is taken to properly evaluate valuables. To prepare for the sale, your items are organized in an easy to navigate pattern and retail like experience. Once the sale is staged properly, our photographer will move through the home and photograph all items for marketing purposes. We usually take 200-400 pictures for marketing purposes. Once the pictures are taken, we will price, bar-code, and tag all items so there is no confusion the day of the sale. We will provide to you an itemized and detailed inventory of your belongings and the prices that have been set for those items prior to the sale.
After preparing for the sale, we will invite the public into the home where the merchandise is available for purchase. We will strategically place employees in different rooms to answer questions, assist the buyers, and deter theft.
The items bought by customers integrate with our State of the Art POS system for inventory control and accountability. We provide a full accounting of all your belongings sold and the prices at which the items sold at the end of the sale.

Depending on the situation, estate sales can be extremely emotional for family members. Although it may be a necessary process, it can come with great sadness and anxiety attached. Jennifer, Robert, and all of their staff were extremely thoughtful and understanding of the difficulties facing our family’s situation. We quickly felt like they were friends of the family and not a company hired to sell “grandma’s stuffâ€, something that really helped my pre-teen daughter deal with the situation. We were impressed by the operational organization during pre-sale sorting/research/pricing/staging, throughout the 3-day sale, and post-sale.
Prior to our estate sale experience, my mother’s house had been de-cluttered and staged for sale. Although there were still many items in the house, when Jennifer and Robert toured the house for the first time, many items popular at estate sales had already been either reduced or removed. Also, several furniture items still needed to be moved from my mother’s house to my house. Because we are preparing for a major renovation at our house, Jennifer and Robert allowed us to add items from our house to my mother’s items creating a larger pool of merchandise and encouraging buyers to visit the sale. Combining items from both properties created a large inventory of saleable items. We even added one of our vehicles and a motorcycle.
In our minds, the sale was a huge success with the majority of items being sold. Items were priced fairly, with Jennifer and Robert taking extra time to research unique and/or antique items. They also offered recommendations on items we might want to keep in the family instead of selling. Our Volvo and motorcycle were sold before day one of the sale for larger dollar amounts than we would have received if we had traded them in at a dealership. Large furniture items went quickly at full price on the first day. We had planned on spending most of the day post-sale boxing up left-over items for transport to a donation facility. We were elated that the estate sale staff took care of that task quickly and were done with that within an hour. This greatly reduced the amount of work that we needed to accomplish before final closing on my mother’s house, less than 48 hours after the end of the estate sale. We were completely done with an empty and clean house by 4:30pm, less than 5 hours post-sale. Our sale ended on a Saturday. We received our sale payment checks and inventory list on the following Friday.
 We hope that it will be a long time before we need the assistance of a professional estate sale company again, but if the need arises, “An Estate In Time†will be the first and hopefully only company we call.
