I’m Melody Bailey, a lifelong West Virginian and the local owner of Caring Transitions of Kanawha Valley. I opened this business because I saw a need for Caring Transitions in our community and I saw an opportunity to serve this region in a new way. Whether you’re moving, downsizing, or clearing out a loved one’s home, going through a transition can be challenging. We’re here to make it easier for you and your family. Whether you want someone to take over the relocation process altogether or you need a little help with one piece of the transition, my team and I are here to help.

Before Caring Transitions, I spent more than a decade working for the state government. While I enjoyed the work I did, I was ready for a change. When I took a hard look at what I loved to do and what I might enjoy for my next move, I came up with what might sound like an unusual answer… I absolutely love to move and to help people move. I love going through a house, looking at everything inside, creating a plan, packing, and resettling. Anytime a friend or family member is looking to move, they call me.

When I came across Caring Transitions while researching business opportunities, I realized this business would be a perfect combination of my passion for planning, relocating and estate clearing with a service I felt this area desperately needed. I’m excited to work with people in this community and to help families have less stressful transitions. I’m looking forward to meeting you.
