This lot is for a small Kentucky-made decorative pottery pot with the mark of Daniel Boone Pottery. It has been established that the predecessor company of the manufacturer now known as Louisville Stoneware made these pots for the tourist trade in the 1920s & 30s. Most likely sold in places like Mammoth Cave, Great Smoky Mountains or Lincoln's Birthplace. This example has a wonderful patina with a ripple top edge. The ripple does have some small and light rim chipping from years of admiration. It is 2 1/2-inches tall X 3 1/4-inches deep. 330 / 528 -
