The box stands about 5.5-inches tall. This box is part of a new liquidation we are doing for a lady who owned a large herb catalog business in the early 80s and these were part of her stock - which over time, as the catalog changed - got shoved to the back of her basement unsold. She told us that she bought these wholesale from an Amish family near Lancaster, PA but can't remember who or when. They are unmarked and not signed. 53 / 515 sold -

This auction lot is for a Stacking Set of 3 USA-Made Shaker-Style Boxes. The boxes are sanded wood and unstained. The largest box measures about 9.5-inches across the widest part of the oval and about 7.5-inches across the middle. The box stands about 3.5-inches tall. The remaining two boxes are progressively smaller to fit within. This set of boxes is part of a new liquidation we are doing for a lady who owned a large herb catalog business in the early 80s and these were part of her stock - which over time, as the catalog changed - got shoved to the back of her basement unsold. She told us that she bought these wholesale from the Pesky Bear Basket Company in Wisconsin. They do not show these boxes in their on-line catalog and may no longer make them. 68 / 515 sold -
