This auction lot is for a Buckingham Palace Letter, more a note acknowledging birthday greetings sent to the Prince of Wale in 1970. This letter - signed by a secretary, Mr. E. Smith M.V.O. - M.V.O. acknowledges the writer has been awarded The Royal Victorian Order which is a dynastic order of knighthood established in 1896 by Queen Victoria. It recognizes distinguished personal service to the monarch, members of the royal family, or to any viceroy or senior representative of the monarch. McGill claimed to have some degree of Native American blood and those issues were quite important to him. Of the many names he used, Black Turtle was one of them. There is nothing printed or written on the verso. The second is a one Dollar Confederate States of America Note. It is rough but appears to have hand numbering and authentic signatures. There is nothing printed or written on the verso - however, there is a paper attached which seems to be holding the bill together - please see photo. The offering includes 2 First Day Cover Albums and a Shoebox filled with First Day Covers. There are approximately 96 covers in one album, about 102 covers in the second album and approximately 500 +/- in the Shoebox.
