10 books from the Looking Glass Library series, which was in existence from 1959 - 1961. Due to poor reviews and sales, it was discontinued after that date. These hardcover reprints of classics and interesting titles was aimed at teenagers and marketed as an affordable way to build a home library. Only one of these books has a dustjacket, but one feature of these books was that the hardcover was printed to look just like the jacket. One of the scarces books in the series is here "The Haunted Looking Glass" illustrated by Edward Gorey. You can check out internet listings for a list of all the books in the series, but these are books 1-10. Not many produced - hard to find as a set. 113 / 1119 sold -

This is a really nice antique gate leg table and is quite versatile. Can be used against the wall as a dropleaf (as shown in first photo) - you could use it for extra seating with just half the table raised up - or use it as a full dining table with both leaves fully extended. Solid wood. No maker's mark. While fully extended, it measures 67" long, 48" wide, and 28" tall. Overall good antique condition - there are a few age/use related scratches - see photos. 140 / 1119 -
