"La Vieil Hippie" by Salvador Dali. Signed and certified. Framed. (Size framed; 36.5" H x 31" W x 1.5" D) Estate sale price: $6,500 Artist: Salvador Dali Title: La Vieil Hippie (The Old Hippie) (1969) Limited edition: 170 of 269 Paper: Japon Hand-signed: Yes Framed: Yes Condition: Excellent Includes The Salvador Dali Archives signed by Albert Field, Archivist on August 27, in 1996. Salvador Domingo Felipe Jacinto Dalà i Domènech, 1st Marquess of Dalà de Púbol (11 May 1904 – 23 January 1989), Salvador Dalà is among the most versatile and prolific artists of the 20th century and the most famous Surrealist. Though chiefly remembered for his painterly output, in the course of his long career he successfully turned to sculpture, printmaking, fashion, advertising, writing, and, perhaps most famously, filmmaking in his collaborations with Luis Buñuel and Alfred Hitchcock. Dalà was renowned for his flamboyant personality and role of mischievous provocateur as much as for his undeniable technical virtuosity. In his early use of organic morphology, his work bears the stamp of fellow Spaniards Pablo Picasso and Joan Miró. His paintings also evince a fascination for Classical and Renaissance art, clearly visible through his hyper-realistic style and religious symbolism of his later work. 3 / 328 -

"Devotion" by Bill Mack Devotion. Hand signed, bronze and bonded. (Framed size; 42 1/2†X 36â€) Estate sale price: $7,495. Artist: Bill Mack Title: Devotion (Mother and child) Limited edition: 52 of 75 Bonded Bronze Hand-signed: Yes Framed: Yes Condition: Excellent Sculptor Bill Mack has no mentors. There is nowhere to go to learn his sculpture techniques. No one teaches his sculpture technique. Sculptor Bill Mack works in such a rare art form that coming up with a name to describe it has been only slightly less arduous than creating the art itself. Bill Mack sculpture simply put is emotional elegance defined in sculpture. Mack was born in Minneapolis, in a family that had never had anyone directly involved in art. He was creating and selling oil portraits in high school. At 17 years old, while employed as a draftsman for a company making bronze dedication tablets, a crucial moment occurred which would change his life forever. Portraits are the most difficult image to create in relief. When a poor quality relief portrait for a memorial tablet created by another artist was submitted to the company for approval, Mack thought he could do a better job. He gave it a try and it was instantly accepted. He immediately quit his job and began a career as a commissioned relief sculptor. At the University of Minnesota, he majored in Journalism with a minor in art history while continuing to do commissioned work as a free-lance artist. Upon graduation, he continued his own career, working as a relief sculptor. So rare are "accomplished" relief sculptors that Mack met with immediate success. His commissioned work ranged from very small, low relief ingots and medallions, to often monumental sculptures. Besides creating hundreds of works in traditional cast bronze, he also gained experience with more modern substances, including resins, urethanes, epoxies, silicones, and acrylics. Working in different materials and trying new methods, Mack has gained increasing confidence in his abilities. When he made the transition to the galleries, he possessed a great deal of technical knowledge to compliment his unique talents. Mack make's Minneapolis his primary home. Living in the Minneapolis metropolitan area he says, is pleasant, not only personally, but also professionally. "My time in the studio is precious. Being centrally located between the coasts, Europe and Japan, cuts down on travel time. I am close to my 25,000 square foot foundry and framing studio, also located in Minneapolis. Besides, as you might guess, there are fewer distractions here in the winter months, and I seem to accomplish the largest body of my work during this time." Without a doubt, Bill Mack's creations are strikingly unique in the world of art. In or out of his studio, Mack is an unusual man and artist, influencing today's world of contemporary art. 11 / 328 -
"Toro" (Bull) by Rafael Lopez Del Campo. Limited edition, 5 of 8. Signed and certified. Estate sale price: $9,950 Bronze Sculpture by Rafael Lopez Del Campo (1936 - 2009) Size: 23" W x 15" H x 10" D Year: 2003 Title: Toro / Bull Weight: 60 lbs. This gentleman has sculptures in the Art Museum of Puerto Rico. Includes Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist. Sculptor and graphic artist. López del Campo received his education in sculpture and printmaking under Francisco Vázquez DÃaz and Lorenzo Homar, respectively, in the studios of the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture. He later received a fellowship to study at the Fine Arts Academy in Rome (1962–65). After his return to Puerto Rico, he taught in the Puerto Rico School of Plastic Arts until 1993, at the same time producing work of his own. For financial reasons he was forced to work mostly in prints for some years, producing commissions, but it is his sculpture that he is best known for. He has always been attracted to figuration, but during his years in Italy he came in direct contact with modern movements in sculpture, and began to work in those modes. Thus, we see that at that point his sculptures began to show a special refinement and stylization, with the angular forms of the Modernist style. 12 / 328 -
