Lot 015-MM: Vintage Rex “Stroll-O-Chair†Perambulator Features: • Likely dates from the 1960s • Patented and created by the Rex Baby Carriage Manufacturers, operating in New York City from 1949 to 1979. Manufactured in England in the early 1960's. Stroll-o-Chair was marketed by salesman door-to-door to expectant parents and was billed as the "Cadillac of baby furniture." It sold for $250 to $400, depending on additional pieces purchased, which was a huge sum of money for a young family expecting their first baby.
