These handmade wall plaques are a great reflection of the King Cake baby. They measure about 11" each. Shaun Aleman is a lifelong resident of Southern Louisiana and living here has had a definite impact and influence on him and his work. The work I create represents the unique heritage and culture of the region. The food, music, local festivals and even the catch phrases of the area lend themselves easily to my work. 543 / 686 sold -

Bryan Brown is a painter, born and raised in New Orleans. His work focuses on New Orleans culture, random but beautiful moments and his, and sometimes others', philosophy. Most of his work is predominantly in acrylics and charcoal. He strives to inspire, invoke thoughts, bring awareness to certain matters, and celebrate the youth and the culture of New Orleans. He had an early inspiration of being an artist from his dad, "Uncle" Lionel Batiste was a jazz and blues musician and singer from New Orleans. He began his music career at the age of 11 playing bass drum with the Square Deal Social & Pleasure Club. This is one of the most spectacular prints I have ever seen. This comes from the book SITE: IDENTITY IN DENSITY by James Wines. It is his glimpse into the year 2084 where the river has consumed everything including the 1984 World Expo in NOLA. If you look at the enlarged pictures, you can see the 1984 worlds fair hidden under the water. Wines had many theories on density and used NOLA as an example. This piece is priceless. It is framed and measures 35 x 25. 599 / 686 -
